Director Mani Ratnam is making a film on Ponni’s Selvan novel of the same title written by Kalki. The two-part shoot of Pony Ki Selvan has been completed and the post-production work is going on. He has announced that the first part will be released on 30 September.

Recently the teaser of Ponni’s film Selvan was released and it was well received by the fans. Simultaneously, the first single from the film titled ‘Ponni Nadhi Pakkanume’ was released and has garnered over 15 million views on YouTube so far.

Meanwhile, it has been announced that the second single from Pony’s film Selvan, ‘Chhojha Chhojha’ will be released on August 19 at 6 PM. The film stars Vikram Aditha Karikalan, Karthi Vandiya Deva, Jayam Ravi as Arulmozhi Varman, Trisha Kundvai and Aishwarya Rai as Nandini. The music for the film is by AR Rahman.
