Second half a bit slow
Performance: Vishwak Sen plays his part very well. He carries the entire film on his shoulders. Venkatesh Daggubati is amazing in his short role. He plays the role of god. Mithila Palkar is doing well. She never became an overbearing person. From the beginning, we see that she has feelings for Arjun Durgaraj. Rahul Ramakrishna is also good enough in his role.
Technical: Ori Devuda’s cinematography is excellent. The cinematography is assisted by brilliant background music and songs composed by Leon James which take the scenes to a whole new level, especially the emotional ones. The theme of Ori Devuda is different because it has something completely new to tell. The basis is a love story, but as it is conceived, the credit must go to director Ashwath Marimuthu. His narration makes things click in this beautiful love story that is full of humor and emotions. The director tries to investigate what can happen when two friends get married while one of them is not romantically attracted to the other. The first half is very captivating with nice humor. The music, background music and camera work are top notch in the film. This film’s comedic punchlines and dialogue deserve a special mention.
Analysis: All in all, Ori Devuda is a light-hearted romantic comedy that is beautifully told. First-class performances by the protagonists, clear narration and interesting background are the main assets of this entertainer. Go for it.
